I first heard this guy at a small place in Black Mountina NC. A large group of us were at a YMCA conference at the Conference Center there and heard that there was an open mike night in town. It was so cold and snowing. We slide down the mountain and found the place almost closed up. We set up the stage to find a guy tell us we could not play there. About 50 had gathered at this point, what would be a huge crowd there. They said they would get us music if we wanted some. This guy comes in a few minutes later with a guitar. Long story short, Jimmy Landry warmed up our crowd with his intimate homey humor and fine folk music. We loved him! I wish he would put out another album. Mine wore out, so I was glad to find it on Amazon!
