I imagine Sakanaction to be sort of a Japanese version of the British band XTC. There's an almost 60's-70's vibe to "Go to the Future" which is the first album by this band, and like XTC, it is difficult to really classify their music. It doesn't fully fit any particular genre, and perhaps that's why it is never heard here in the States on the radio, as radio stations like to have neat categories into which to fit their mass-marketed music. Whatever! Take a listen to the samples Amazon supplies to see if you like it. As for myself, this CD is on indefinite rotation for a while.
