The directions are clear. It is a little unnerving to drill a hole into your cart, but it wasn't that bad. I did have to remove the front tires on my 2018 EZ-GO RXV gas cart in order to orient the drill into the side panel. With the back flares you drill directly into the side of the cart so no need to remove the wheels. The included plastic pins hold the flares very tightly to the body of the cart (so no need to use epoxy as some people have tried to do).
