John is a multi-talented woodwind player, whose main instrument is tenor/soprano sax, but also utilizes alto sax, plenty of flute, and clarinet and bass clarinet on his recordings. His cds consist of fun high energy original jazz compositions, jaunting from swing, to latin, funk, fusion and beyond. He always has top guest artist featured on the discs, from players like Alex Acuna, to Mike Miller, Mitchel Forman, Will Lee and more. John has performed with Solomon Burke, Billy Preston, The Temptations, Rodney Dangerfield, Ben Folds, countless regional bands and the Utah Symphony. His influences come from Weather Report, Chick Corea, The Yellowjackets, Bob Berg, Micheal Brecker, Pat Metheny, and on...
